The geography of Weston Super Mare has made this place extremely popular. At low tide, the sea retreats and reveals wide beaches. With high tide, the complete area fills up with muddy water. Later, at low tide, one can see the brownish mud spread all over the beach.
Grande Pier is a multi-purpose dock located at the Marine Parade in Weston-Super-Mare. It is one and a half miles long and serves two main purposes. Shipping can take place at all tides on this dock. Several coastal events take place here too.
The pier was given the title of a historical monument. The Helicopter Museum has a unique kind of collection. There are more than 70 types of helicopters on display in this museum.
People are allowed enter some of the helicopters to see the interior. It is an ideal place to learn about various types of helicopters.
The North Somerset Museum on Burlington Street holds a huge collection of archaeological pieces.
