General opinion: The cathedral is the main point of interest. Jane Austin is buried there also Alfred the Great had the town as his headquarters. There is a statue of him in the main street. He is buried there. We only stopped there for a few hours. We had a nice meal.

General opinion: Winchester, a historic town, is the administrative capital of Hampshire, England. Home to a population of about 40,000 people, Winchester is a charismatic and tranquil city. The city blends the historic as well as modern-day customs with aplomb.
The climate in Winchester is mild in all the seasons. Summers are warm while winters are suitably cool. This area receives ample rainfall which is evenly distributed throughout the city. Snowfall is a regular feature in winters.
