Southill Barn is a farm with a cottage where one can stay amidst lush green surroundings and experience the tranquillity of the countryside.
There are several places one can visit while staying here such as Exmouth’s golden sands, Crealy Adventure Park, Bicton botanical gardens, Paignton Zoo, Sidmouth with its grand cliffs and Budleigh Salterton on the World Heritage coast.
The other attractions which are near include Dartmoor’s granite hills and remote villages where one can enjoy tennis, horse riding, fishing, sailing and golf as well. Woodbury Common is a heathland which is near and has an Iron Age hill fort and the Woodbury Castle which overlooks the villages in the vicinity.
The heathland is a popular place for mountain biking, hill climbing and flying radio control aircraft.
The Woodbury Common has a training place for the Royal Marines that are based at Lympstone.
