Ballymoney is located on the main highway that connects the north and south of Antrium to the town of Ballymoney. The Irish people call this place as “baile monish” which means as home place on the peatland. This town is Located in the Ulster Province. Ballymoney is one of the oldest towns in Ireland with a number of buildings of historic importance in the centre of the town.
The population of the town is 5,750. This town has been the birth place of some of the famous personalities like Joey Dunlop, and William McKinley. Ballymoney has a temperate maritime climate. This region also experiences a damp climate which is caused due to deforestration. The town has improved its internal reputation due to which there is a rise in the number of tourists.
