Newtownards is a large town situated in County Down, Northern Ireland.
Known to be the largest town in the Ards Borough, it is home to Castlebawn Shopping Center, the Scrabo Tower and the basalt topped sandstone hill. Many tourists visit the Somme Heritage Center, the Ark Open Farm and attend sports matches, with some of the well known sports club being based here like the Ards Rugby Football Club, the Ards Cricket Club, Ards F. C and the Ards Rangers FC.
