Arbroath: Attractions and more...
Tourism plays a major part in the Arbroath economy. During the summer months the biggest attractions include the Seafront Spectacular, which is an air show, and the Sea fest which is organized around Arbroath's maritime heritage.
Arbroath is home to Kerr's Miniature Railway. The oldest miniature railway in Scotland and which at its peak, in 1955, had 60,000 visitors. The neighboring villages of St.Vigeans, Friockheim, Carmyllie, Inverkeilor and Colliston are considered part of Arbroath.
Arbroath has a number of Old churches to be visited such as Abbey Church which is located at the centre of the town, St Andrews Church which is located in Hamilton Green, Knox's Church which is located in Howard Street, the West Kirk which is placed in Keptie Street.
Arbroath also has a number of Church of Scotland kirks in the surrounding villages. Arbroath has one museum, with the former Bell Rock Lighthouse Signal Tower.
