Benmore Botanic Garden is at a distance of 15 miles from Arrochar. This garden is known for its collections of shrubs and flowering trees. The Avenue of Giant Redwoods is an impressive entrance that was planted in 1863. Some of the trees here are more than 40 meters tall. In the Glen Massan Arboretum one can view some of the tallest trees in Scotland. One of the Douglas fir is more than 55 meters tall.
