Bearsden centre is situated at the crossroads of the Drymen Road and Roman Road. It is recognized as Bearsden Cross, and since December 2005, its neighboring roads were being improved by East Dunbartonshire council.

 

The must watch historical monuments or buildings of Bearsden are Bearsden Primary School, the Burgh Hall, the Bearsden Cross Parish Church, and All Saints Episcopal Church which are all situated right next to the town centre.

 

A quarter of a mile east all along the Roman Road, is a Roman bath-house. To the north, beside the Drymen Road, there is New Kilpatrick Parish Church, Brookwood Library, and the Bearsden Ski Club which is 40 years old.  At the West of Scotland Snow sports Centre in Bearsden the club is footed, and has a membership of approximately 1200 skiers. Adopting the gallant traditions of the club a number of skiers are now with the British Team.
