General opinion:
Blairgowrie is a riverside town which lies on the banks of the River Ericht and is known as the Berry Capital of Scotland.  Known as Blair to the locals, it lies amidst a raspberry and strawberry growing district.
The town is a magnet for tourists, who want to enjoy the great outdoor activities like golfing, walking, fishing or cycling.  One can visit the Blairgowrie Golf Club, with its two 18 hole courses and one 9 hole course. Other than that, one can visit the city in early September, when the city hosts the Blairgowrie and East Perthshire Walking festival.
