The 220 foot high National Wallace Monument was named and constructed after the Scotland's national hero and legend, Sir William Wallace and is situated on the western borders of the town. ‘Building the Monument' is a famous exhibition gallery where the amazing story about the legends and historical monuments are displayed. From the top of the monument one can get a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside.
