Coatbridge is a Lanarkshire township situated in the middle of Lowlands of Scotland. The colony dates back to the ancient Stone Age. Coatbridge's development from the 19th century has been mostly associated with the industrial revolution. Coatbridge today is well-known as a post-industrial hub township of Glasgow. Coatbridge is located in Scotland's Central Lowlands. The township rests 288 feet above sea level though there is no river running through it.

Only the North Calder Water runs from east to west of the town.Coatbridge experiences a moderate maritime climate, most similar to the British Isles, with comparatively cool summers and mild winters. The annual festival in town is the yearly March of St. Patrick's Day festival which is patronized by the Irish government. The festival included lectures, film shows, dance and football competitions as well as music performances.
