Cumbernauld: Attractions and more...
This museum went on to open on 26th of September, 2008 after redevelopment worth 10 million pounds. Loads of sources have contributed to this redevelopment. The major exhibition hall was given a new look altogether. It was created in 1980s through site of former ‘Hydrocon Crane’ works. As such, so much of industrial machinery got added to collection of this museum. Fortunately, much of this collection has been observed to be in ‘working condition’. Since the last 20 years, however, displays as well as general experience of visitor had made the authorities think on giving it a new look.
There is a lot of ‘logical flow’ via displays; which moves from pre-historic time-span to dawn. Interactive displays go on to explain the process of making iron and ‘hands-on’ interactive displays permit youngsters to have explored industrial heritage on their part in an exciting and a novel way.
