Dalbeattie is a well known town in the massive landscape of Dumfries and Galloway in the state of Scotland. The name of this place means ‘Valley of Birch Trees’ as there are many birch trees in this place. It is situated amongst a wood covered valley besides the Urr Water. It lies to the east of the all time famous Castle Douglas and also the southern part of Dumfries. This town is benefited from the waters of the Urr River that passes through its west. This town excels in business that originates by its excessive usage of the natural resources available here. This town has a lot of granite collections and is also famous for its granite polishing techniques. The people here are simple and are mainly engrossed in forest related industries. It is also a home place for a collection of Scottish Souvenirs known as the ‘Thistle Products’, which are used for export both far and wide. The people here occasionally move towards Dumfries in search of employment.
