The 1st Duke of Queensberry, William Douglas completed the Drumlanrig castle in 1961. The castle spans over an area of 120,000 acres and consists of Victorian gardens, Queensberry estate and Country Park. It is one of the finest recreations in Scotland as it boasts beautiful gardens, woodland walks, wildlife and an opportunity for cycling and mountain biking for adventure lovers.
