The Dumfries museum depicts the history of people and culture of the region. It also is a home to one of the world’s oldest working instrument Camera Obscura which was installed in 1836 in the windmill in the museum. Visitors can see fossil footprints, social life of the earliest people, wildlife of Solway etc at the museum. Dumfries museum also has exciting trails for visitors.
