Metro
The décor is cool and sparse, with lots of rosewood and glass, influenced by Bauhaus style. More important is the style in the kitchen, which under chef Bruce Price is capable of magnificent feats, whether you choose the “first class” option of the AA-rosette restaurant, or “business class” brasserie.

Verdant Works
This multi-award winning historical heritage museum tells the story of how the Jute was manufactured and, perhaps more interestingly, what conditions were like for the workers who toiled away to produce the stuff.

McManus Galleries
Housed on the upper floor of the Albert Institute, a majestic Gothic building in the city centre designed by Sir GeorgeGilbert Scott, the permanent display is a colourful journey. This rich array incorporates Old Masters, 19th-century and modern Scottish art, Photographic collections, a costume gallery, exquisite Venetian glass and French and German
porcelain.

Dundee Contemporary Arts
This is the place to see applied and contemporary art in Dundee and is an important
part of the city’s fast-growing cultural quarter. The DCA has five floors of galleries, cinemas, artists’ facilities, education resources (The University of Dundee has a visual research centre here) and a hugely popular café bar.

Discovery Point
It was Dundee that saw the launch in 1901 of the RSS (Royal Research Ship) Discovery – the ship that took Captain Scott on his first journey to the South Pole. Visitors can walk up the gangway and learn firsthand about the conditions for crew and officers on their icebound voyages.

Queen's Gallery
The Queen’s Gallery is situated in Dundee’s Cultural Quarter. The gallery specialises in contemporary paintings, sculpture and applied art. New and established artists are featured in exhibitions opening on a monthly basis.

Dundee’s the perfect jumping-in point for an active break. Quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, and 4x4 adventures in the Perthshire countryside are all easily accessible from Dundee. Watersports
Perhaps you’ll lap up the water sports at The Firth of Tay and nearby East Neuk of Fife. Windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are all available; you can hire all the equipment when you get there.
