The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is considered as the largest arts festival in the world. It got established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival. It is held in Scotland’s capital during the three weeks every August along with many other arts and cultural festivals. This festival attracts events from the performing arts, especially theatre and comedy. This is an open arts festival where anyone can perform without any constraints from the Festival Fringe Society. However, this festival does not produce any shows and also does not pay any fees to the performers.
