The Children’s International Theatre Festival is held in Edinburgh from May to June annually and is the largest art festival for children. It includes a week of shows from leading theatre groups from 6 countries.
Edinburgh has been a hotspot for hosting various festivals and events since 1940. The Book Festival which is held each summer is one of the largest book festivals in the world and includes a wide variety of programmes for both children and adults such as debates, workshops, lectures and more.
The Edinburgh International Film Festival displays an amazing range of premiers which are a delight for the viewers.
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a programme which features a large number of musicians, dancers, horses, motorcyclists and performers from Asia, America and Africa.
Hogmanay is a four day celebration with various events for bringing in the New Year in Scotland on 31st December each year.
