Glasgow International Airport is situated to the west of Glasgow city near Renfrew and Paisley towns in Renfrewshire.
The airport is run and operated by the BAA and is the 8th busiest airport in United Kingdom with a passenger traffic of more than 8 million in the year 2007.
There are plans of expanding the airport and increase its passenger numbers to more than 24 million annually by the year 2030.
There are a number of flights operating from here including Air Europa, British Airways, easyJet, Continental Airlines, Emirates, Thomas Cook Airlines, Spanair, Pegasus Airlines, Pakistan International Airlines and more.
The Glasgow Flyer Bus Service 500 connects the airport to the center of the Glasgow city making transportation easy for passengers from the airport to the city.
