There are in all four cathedrals in Glasgow namely Glasgow cathedral, St. Mary’s Episcopal cathedral, the Greek Orthodox cathedral of St. Luke and St. Andrew’s cathedral.

The Cathedral of Glasgow is built on the outskirts of the city where the patron saint of Glasgow, Saint Mungo, build a church.

The tomb of the saint lies in the church. This cathedral, also known as the High Kirk, has Gothic style architecture.

St. Andrew’s cathedral is a place of worship of the Archdiocese of Glasgow and is a small church which is frequented by many people as it is situated in the centre of the city.

The Greek Orthodox cathedral of St. Luke is the only orthodox cathedral in Scotland and it also serves people of other communities such as Russians, Serbs and Romanians.

St. Mary’s Episcopal
cathedral has links with various local groups and other churches.

There are a number of concerts, art exhibitions and artistic events held here as well.
