Cawdor Castle is separated from Grantown-on-Spey by 17 miles. This is a magnificent house of the the Dowager Countess Cawdor. It is a superb fairy tale castle and it is possible for the visitors to see, touch and sense the Scottish history here. The ancient stonework at this place has an unyielding solidarity. In the core of the Tower, there is a snug sitting-room and a fresh water well. There are windows set in the massive walls.
