The Ness River flows from Loch Dochfour in the north east of Loch Ness through Inverness and empties into the Moray Firth at South Kessock. This wide and peaceful river is suitable for fishing salmon, brown trout and sea trout. The Inverness Angling Club provides fishing for a stretch of three miles from the estuary to the Clachnahagaig Stone at Red Braes. The Inverness castle is also visible from the river and is a splendid sight at night.
