Lanark is a town with spectacular views of nature. The Fall of Clyde presents a spectacular and attractive view for people visiting Lanark. A list of waterfalls includes Bonnington Linn, Corra Linn, Dundaff Linn and Stonebyres, which are located along the River Clyde. These falls are one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Scotland and are maintained by Scotland's wildlife trust.
Lanach loch, a large boating lake with an adjoining golf course is a famous tourist place. Just besides the lake are a race course and a pony trekking area. Castlebank Park which is adjacent to the former location of the Lanark castle gives access to River Clyde for every tourist visiting the place.Black hill, the site of a burial cairn, dates back to the Bronze Age .It was also the site of an Iron fort which was used as a look out over the Clyde Valley. Wester Kittochside Farm, is a 100 acre farm complete with Georgian furniture, and displays a large number of tools which were used in the 19th Century. An 18th century museum and church located in a small village Hamilton is an interesting place to visit.
