Being connected to other big cities like Glasgow, Hamilton, Motherwell and Lanark via road, regular bus service and train links, the town has become a popular tourist destination. Historical features in Larkhall include Ruins of the Strathaven Castle built in 1458 and the Morgan Glen Railway Viaduct which stands 170 feet high and was opened in 1905. It is the highest bridge in Scotland and attracts a huge bunch of tourists.
Near to Morgan Glen Railway Viaduct is the Lanark museum which showcases exhibitions on ancient history and heritage of the area. The New Lanark Heritage Centre, is a water powered mill complex with 5 star visitor attractions, a recreated Victorian classroom and interactive displays. There are various old churches in Larkhall like Larkhall Baptist church on Machan road, ST. MARY'S R.C church on Raploch road and the Trinity Parish church, which gives us the glimpse of the town’s ancient history and culture.
