The Tweeddale museum is located on the high street, which is basically a gift to the town of Peebles. There are exhibitions which are held throughout the year. The museum also has two noteworthy friezes, this is the copy of the Elgin Marbles from Athens and another one is the 19th century Triumph of Alexander.

Treasured Places – Creative Connections
Exhibition of art, poetry, photography and animation by the community groups across the country in the workshops by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland. These creative exhibits will be displayed alongside the inspirational exhibits.
Churches
St. Andres Church is the oldest building in the town. It was found in the year 1195 and was demolished by the Soldiers of Henry eighth. Than the stones which were left out were used for other constructions. Other church is the Cross Kirk which is also quite ancient. It belonged to the year 1261. The Cross Kirk is the venue for a very famous Local festival.
