Rannoch Moor can be described as a huge expanse consisting of around 130 sq. Km of ‘boggy moorland’ on the western side of ‘Loch Rannoch’. This thing has been designated as ‘National Heritage Site’. Rannoch Moor is noteworthy with regards to its wildlife, especially for the only ‘British location’ for Rannoch-ruch. ‘Peat’ deposits happen to pose main difficulties to constructors of railways and roads.
