Tourist Guide Portnalong
The city of Portnalong is actually a small village which is located at the west shore of a famous and beautiful place named Loch Harport. As the village has some water reserves in the form of lochs, the population dwelled in this region by working on the ships which came across this loch. The village is highly popular for its history during the World War 2. The Ships used in the war were harbored at the shore of this loch. As the village is located in the north central region of Scotland the weather is very comfortable in summers as well as winters. Climate is usually humid due to the water prone region. Rain in the form of minor showers is also very frequent in this region. However the day times are mostly sunny with a cool environment. As per the census recorded in the year 2001, the population residing in this village is very much scarce. However due to the growing popularity of the village, the population has gone high over a period of time.
