Tourist Guide St Andrews:

St Andrews is a town on the east coast of Fife, Scotland.

It stands on the North Sea coast between Edinburgh and Dundee and has a population of about 18,000.

St Andrews has a temperate maritime climate and experiences more sunshine, but colder winters, compared to the west. St Andrews has a variety of sporting activities open to the public.

After the Industrial Revolution, the Scottish economy concentrated on heavy industry, dominated by shipbuilding, coal mining and steel industries. Other major industries include banking and financial services, education, entertainment, biotechnology, transport equipment, oil and gas, whisky, and tourism.

The town has various centres for recreation and leisure where tourists wishing to swim, play pool or even keep fit in the gym can go.
