St Andrews Cathedral is a classic example of the remains of a Cathedral and still gives a very powerful idea of the scale of what was once the largest cathedral in Scotland.
Visit St Rule's Tower for a fantastic view of the town. The castle of the Archbishops of St Andrews is a fascinating example of siege techniques used in medieval times which were employed when the castle had been under siege from 1546 until 1547.
St Andrews Botanic Gardens has about 8000 species of ferns, herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees. Victorian walled garden designed around Cambo Park supplies the house with fruit, flowers and vegetables.
Craigtoun Country Park has a boating pond, a miniature railway, crazy golf, trampolines, and cafe facilities. Kinburn Museum is situated within Kinburn Park. The museum was previously known as Kinburn Castle. British Golf Museum and the Byre Theatre are some other appealing tourist attractions.
