Tourist Guide Abergavenny

Abergavenny means Mouth of the River Gavenny and is a small attractive market town situated in Monmouthshire, Wales.

This town is home to the medieval stone remains castle built after the Norman conquest of Wales. The town is home of Abergavenny Thursdays Football Club, formed in 1927 and a member of the Gwent County League Division 3.

Other places of interest are the cattle market, the Market Hall and attend the food festival held in September. Others can visit the Abergavenny Castle, the Abergavenny Museum and of course the rolling green countryside surrounding the area.
