The most visited attraction in the region is the Caernarfon Castle which was built as a royal palace and a military stronghold. Located on the scenic Menai Strait, it displays great architecture and historic culture. An annual festival and a lively market adjacent to it, make the place worth a visit.
The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers housed in the Queen’s Tower is worth a visit for its various artefacts and other items related to the military history of the region.
Visitors can also look forward to the annual festival called the Fire and Fantasy Festival which is held in the Caernarfon Castle. The festival offers delightful treats in the form of concerts, floodlights and fireworks display.
The Air World Museum is an excellent example of the aviation history displayed through various photos, documents and aircraft models. Also, a number of aircrafts like the Vampires, Sycamore and Whirlwind helicopters are on display.
