Caerphilly can be referred to as a town located in Caerphilly County borough, south Wales, UK.

Caerphilly is better known as commuter town with regards to Newport and Cardiff. It’s located at a distance of 2 to 3 miles on the northern side of Rhiwbina’s and Lisvane’s Cardiff suburbs. 

Caerphilly Mountain is the one which separates these two suburbs. Traditionally, Caerphilly lies within Glamorgan County, on border with ‘Monmouthshire’. Moreover, it’s the biggest town within Caerphilly’s county borough; which, sine the year 2003, has moved ahead with forming a portion of Gwent’s lieutenancy area.

Caerphilly has performed the task of giving its nomenclature to ‘Caerphilly cheese’; which is said to have originated in this area.

Tommy Cooper was born in Caerphilly. This town is also said to have a ‘rugby union’ club; i.e. Caerphilly RFC. They are said to play in Welsh National League’s Division 1 EAST.
