Cardiff is considered as the major transport hub in Wales and is the focus of many arterial road as well as rail routes which connect the city with rest of Wales and England. M4 is the principal motorway in the region which connects the city with other cities. A470 is another major road which is within the city and provides important link with the Heads of the Valleys road. Cardiff Central railway station is also the largest railway station in Wales having 7 platforms.
