The Carmarthen Market dates back to the Roman Times in 1180. The town has been holding fairs and markets since ages but the Market Hall was built in 1981. The market hall retains the original Clock Tower and holds a Farmers Market on the first Friday of each month. The Provision Market is well known for its collection of crafts, home products, antiques and a variety of goods.
