The Carew Castle is owned by the famous Carew family who have leased it to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, who now manage this property. The castle is made up of the Carboniferous limestone and the window frames of the castle are made from imported Cotswold stone. The castle lies at the end of a ridge at a strategic point from the navigable river.
