Port Talbot can be mentioned as one of the ‘industrial towns’ located in ‘south Wales’, UK. At present, it’s a portion of ‘unitary authority’ of ‘Neath Port Talbot county borough’.
Port Talbot has been built along Swansea Bay’s eastern rim in a not-so-wide strip of a coastal plane that surrounds ‘River Afan’ estuary. Local beach located along Swansea’s bay is called ‘Aberavon Sands’. It’s located between River Neath and River Afan. ‘Margam Sands’ is the other beach located in ‘Port Talbot’.
It’s better known as ‘Morfa Beach’. River Neath goes on to mark Port Talbot’s eastern edge. The most significant landmark with regards to this town is ‘Port Talbot Steelworks’.
The quality of air isn’t all that good.
The population of Port Talbot as per 2001 census was 35633.
Port Talbot has been served by ‘South Wales Main Line’ at ‘Port Talbot Parkway Railway Station’. Local as well as intercity trains pass through this station
