The Swansea Marina is a harbor which lies behind the Swansea Bay barrage at River Tawe. The marina was awarded 5 gold anchors by the Yacht Harbor Association and a blue flag status in the year 2005. There are several boating centers at the marina including the Maiden Voyage, the Swansea Yacht and the Sub Aqua club. There are a number of shops selling boating equipment and a boat yard as well which services boats.
