The army was led by his elder son Yuvraj Kumbha. Brave Kumbha defeated Hindal but sacrified his life.Then Amer was divided in two parts and mahar was awarded the Heriodatory title of RawatIn the 17th century when the foundations of Jaipur were laid, the area where the Mahar Haveli stands was gifted to the Kumbhawat rulers of Mahar by the Amber state.
