Twenty-two stilted log cabins offer comfortable en-suite accommodation with a natural design - an excellent combination of unique comfort and style. Constructed with local materials, the cabins allow close proximity to the surrounding forest flora and fauna. Each cabin has its own wooden balcony with comfortable chairs where you can relax and admire the spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, the Maasai steppes beyond, and the surrounding lush vegetation and birdlife.

We pride ourselves in our attention to minor detail and our flair and creativity in the décor. We place special emphasis on your comfort - hot showers are available for 24 hours and every cabin is equipped with a mosquito net. Upon arrival you will be welcomed in your cabin with a complimentary fruit basket and mineral water.

If you are on a honeymoon, a honeymoon suite will be provided with all the pampering you deserve.

Facilities Information

Karama Lodge restaurant has the same spectacular view of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. You have the choice of having meals in the semi-indoor dining area or outdoors in the surrounding gardens.

Our professional chefs will spoil you for breakfast, lunch and dinner using fresh local Tanzanian products. In addition there is a mouth-watering daytime snack menu. Our experienced staff will tempt you with an amazing array of delights. Our daily specials consist of tender meat, fresh fish and juicy chicken from the grill and plenty of healthy vegetarian options.

The bar is open all day for a cool beer, a glass of wine, spirits, or a healthy fresh fruit juice. Sit on our spacious open deck and enjoy your drink with the breath-taking views of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and the wooded valleys below. A refreshing breeze will keep you cool even during the hot summer months.
