Airdrie can be described as a city located in Alberta, Canada.
Airdrie is situated on the northern side of Calgary in Calgary-Edmonton Corridor. It’s, in fact, a portion of Census Metropolitan Area of Calgary; along with obtaining the membership of ‘Calgary regional Partnership’, i.e. CRP.
Owing to immediacy with Calgary, population of Airdrie is experiencing a drastic increase since the last few years. Boundaries of the city are completely within rural ‘Municipal District of Rocky View’. They have been assigned the number ‘44’.
The year 1889 witnessed establishment of Airdrie. It was the time when construction of ‘Calgary and Edmonton Railway’ was going on. This city is known all over the world as an inductrial center and a ‘scenic bedroom community’.
Primary water body of Airdrie is ‘Nose Creek’. It’s the focal point with regards to various green spaces and city parks.
The population as per 2007 census was 31512.
