The Calgary Tower was originally known by the name, the Husky Tower, and is a 191 meter free standing observation tower. Situated in Downtown Calgary, it was built at a cost of 3,500,000 dollars and weighs around 10,900 tones. Constructed and opened in 1968, it was renamed as the Calgary Towers in 1971. For any tourist, this tower offers panoramic view of the entire city of Calgary.
