The impressive Chinatown Gate downtown at the 102 Avenue and 97 Street greets the visitors to the Chinese community hub. The gate was built as a symbol of friendship between Harbin and Edmonton. One can also roll the ball in the lion’s mouth for good luck. There is also the Edmonton Chinatown Multicultural center at the Jasper Avenue. Chinatown extends north on 97 Street from 105 to 108 Avenue.
