One of the main tributary of the Mackenzie River, the Peace River stretches over a distance of 1,923 kilometer. The river cuts an 11 kilometre deep gash from corner to the other corner of Alberta Prairie. The merges with the Slave River after it flows from the Wood Buffalo National Park.
