Medicine Hat is also known as “The Hat” and it is a city with 60,000 people located in the southeastern part of Alberta in Canada. The city is enclaved within Cypress County along with the nearby town of Redcliff, although neither of them is a part of the country. Medicine Hat is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway to the eastern terminus of the Crowsnest Highway and the South Saskatchewan River. Dominated by this river valley, the city has some major river connections.
The nearby towns which are part of this city is Redcliff, Irvine, Seven Persons and Dunmore. Cypress Hills is relatively short distance to the southeast of the city. The city is a landscape formation which takes form of a head wearing a feathered headdress. This head is 1000 feet wide and is in inverse relief formed by valleys than any raised ground.
Medicine Hat has a semiarid continental climate having cold and dry winters and warm to hot summers. The maximum precipitation occurs in the late spring and in early summer.
