| Attractions and things to do |
Canada’s smallest National Park, St. Lawrence has been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This reserve consists of more than 20 granite islands and numerous tiny islets between Kingston and Brockville.
Most of the park islands are home to a hilly range Frontenac Axis, which connects to the Canadian Shield. The boreal, coniferous and deciduous forests host wildlife such as the coyote, deer, fox and several migrating birds.
As this park is formed of many islands, several water sports such as sailing, sea-kayaking, canoeing and rafting are popular. Camping facilities are primarily available on Grenadier Island. Granite Ridge Trail is a popular hiking route with many tourists. Mallorytown Landing offers a visitor’s services. |
