Kelowna can be described as a city standing on ‘Okanagan Lake’, within British Columbia’s ‘Okanagan Valley’, Canada.

The name ‘Kellowna’ has been derived from native term with respect to ‘grizzly bear’. This place ranks 22nd in terms of metropolitan areas located in Canada.

Communities in the vicinity of Kelowna are inclusive of West Kelowna on the western side across ‘Okanagan Lake, Lake County’, and ‘Vernon’ on the northern side; apart from Peachland on the south-western side and, furthermore, Penticton and Summerland on the southern side.

Kelowna enjoys mild temperatures and dry climate. Summers are sunny and hot; with temperatures during the daytime exceeding 95 degree F. During the night, summers remain cool owing to dry environment. Annual precipitation is around 300 millimeters; with 1/3rd of it falling in the form of snow. Bulk falls in December-January.
