Nanaimo District Museum goes on to display interesting exhibits which cover the region’s history. Lower gallery features Snuneymuxw First nation and coal-mining history of Nanaimo; whereas upper gallery houses an economic and social timeline with regards to history of Nanaimo. This also includes Chinatown’s history. On the outer side lie a railway engine and miner’s cottage.
