Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary
The Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary is located towards the northeast of Prince Rupert. It can be reached through water as well as by air. This sanctuary safeguards prime Grizzly Bear habitat and is one of its kind in the North America. It is estimated that approximately 50 Grizzly Bears along with several black bears have made its sanctuary their habitat.
North Pacific Historic Fishing Village
The North Pacific Historic Fishing Village was constructed in 1889 alongside the Skeena Drive. This is a National historic site and is the oldest surviving salmon cannery in British Columbia.
Kwinitsa Station Railway Museum
The Kwinitsa Station Railway Museum is situated on the waterfront along the Bill Murray Way. At this museum it is possible to understand the life of linemen and station agents who were employed at the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway during the end of the previous century.
Icehouse Gallery
At the Icehouse Gallery, art from the Northern British Columbia is displayed. As this is a co-operative gallery, volunteers work at this place.
Firehall Museum
The highlight of the Firehall Museum is a rebuilt 1925 R. E. O. Speedwagon Fire Engine. One can also find several local firefighters and enforcement memorabilia. This museum is open from 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 5 pm during summer.
