In British Columbia, Canada, on the banks of the River Skeena, a service community has developed that is called as Terrace. In this region, for the past thousands of years, Tsimshian type of people have resided. The Terrace Airport manages the transport of this community and this airport is connected to Vancouver, Smithers and Prince George. Terrace lies on the Yellowhead Highway and the Canadian National Railway. This community is the seat of the Kilimat-Stikine Regional District. There is a competition between Prince Rupert and Terrace as a regional hub for the northern coastal region. The distance between Terrace and the mouth of River Skeena in the Pacific Ocean is about 115 kilometers.
As per the 2006 census, the population of Terrace was 11,320.
