Since Vancouver, British Columbia is home to one of the world’s finest public transportation systems in the world, getting around the city shouldn’t be a problem at all. Whether you’re planning travel by road rail or waterway, you’ll be able to get from end of the city to another in a very reasonable amount of time.
One of Vancouver’s gems is Translink, its public transit system that offers bus, train and ferry services throughout the city and surrounding area. Even if you’re traveling from Vancouver’s northwestern edge to its southeastern reaches, a one-way Translink fare will rarely cost more than $8, making it a very affordable transportation option. Translink operates the Coast Mountain Bus service, the SkyTrain Rapid Transit system and the Seabus ferry service.
As with any other city of its size, Vancouver is also home to plenty of taxi cab and limousine companies that can get you where you need to be in a jiffy. Car rentals are another popular alternative, as are bicycle rentals for the environmentally-conscious.
